DEKA is an indoor fitness competition featuring 10 functional fitness zones, preceded by a 500-meter run (5k in total). DEKA is fitness gamified and designed for all levels. No matter your background or experience, DEKA will help you set your baseline so you can train with a purpose.
DEKA is an attempt to gamify fitness. It provides a standardized, measurable test that can be trained for and repeated over time. Athletes can work towards improving their DEKA Mark (aka: time) to measure how their fitness is improving over time.
DEKA is short for decathlon and is derived from the Greek work déka, which means “ten.” It represents the 10 zones in a DEKA event.

About DEKA FIT
DEKA FIT is a standardized fitness test involving 10 functional fitness zones, each preceded by 500m of running (totaling a 5k). DEKA FIT events are hosted by Spartan and a handful of DEKA affiliate gyms around the world.
The zones include movements like lunges, box overs, med ball situps, farmer's carry, tank push/pull, and burpees, alongside machine work on the row erg, ski erg, and assault bike. Learn more about all 10 DEKA zones.
DEKA FIT events also offer variations for teams of two (MM, FF, MF), as well as a DEKA FIT ruck division (M 30lbs, F 20lbs).
Average finish times are in the range of 35-60 minutes.
